Cloud Computing is a paradigm of computing that provides users with access to shared pools of configurable resources, such as networks, servers, storage, applications, and services. This technology relies heavily on Virtualization to abstract hardware and provide scalable environments over the internet. According to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the model is characterized by five essential characteristics: on-demand self-service, broad network access, resource pooling, rapid elasticity, and measured service.
Service and Deployment Models

Platform as a Service (PaaS) offers a platform allowing customers to develop, run, and manage applications. Software as a Service (SaaS) delivers software applications over the internet.
